Notification to authors and presenters:

*updated  October 15th 2010.

Dear Authors and presenters,

Due to certain questions that recently appeared we decided to remind you on few details regarding the oral and poster presentations.

We kindly ask all authors who announced to present their papers orally to provide us presentations by Monday October the 25th latest, even in draft_form! We require the material in order to assure the best quality trilingual simultaneous translation. The draft of your presentation will do as well, as we expect the final versions of presentations to be available not before October the 27th i.e. beginning of the FAGUS 2010 Symposium.

The authors of posters are expected to bring the printed posters along with themselves to the FAGUS 2010 Symposium. Next to the poster-stand we assured the adequate space also for your poster-abstracts /materials if you’ll find it as necessary.

Lat yet not least - if you still did not confirm your attendance please proceed with it, so that we could finalize the Programme as seen here in detail.

Also, if you have special food requirements or other wishes and you did not listed it in your Registration forms please remind us at your earliest convenience!

For all other issues and questions we’re here as always.

On behalf of FAGUS 2010 Organization Committee we wish you a warm welcome on FAGUS 2010 Symposium and looking forward to see you in Varaždin on October 27th

Yours,
FAGUS 2010 Organization Committee

Notification to authors on submitted papers:

*updated  September 15th 2010.

Dear Authors,

The confirmation on papers submission was distributed to all of you who sent us their papers by September the 1st 2010 as previously announced, thereby respecting the deadlines for what we kindly thank you!

According to the order of received papers and the reviewer's confirmation all papers were submitted to anonymous reviewing process to the members of international scientific community with confirmed expertise within the specific field of forestry science. Hereby we would like to express our most sincere gratitude to all the reviewers who generously offered their assistance in the reviewing process of FAGUS 2010 papers.

Upon their evaluation the decision of the editor board of Acta Sylvatica & Lignaria Hungarica will decide whether the manuscript could be accepted for publication in special edition of ASLH or should it be submitted to further changes, as the particular aim of ASLH is to ensure a high international scientific standard for their publication. The author(s) will receive a copy of their peer-review report so that the final decision of the editor on acceptance or rejection becomes understandable for the author(s).

However, as certain number of authors decided not to submit their papers for ASLH reviewing process, or they decided to keep their papers for some other publication(s) upon their preference, this in any way did not affect their participation at the upcoming FAGUS 2010 symposium. There was no obligation for papers submission as this only assured the possibility of publication by ASLH.

Looking forward to meet you in Varaždin, Croatia at the presentation of your papers!

Yours,
FAGUS 2010 Organization Committee

As for the papers itself herewith we use this opportunity to remind you that all papers should be submitted by September the 1st 2010 00.00hrs CET (i.e. August 31st 2010 24.00hrs CET) latest.
