BACKGROUND
Next year on February 10th the 20th anniversary of six forest scientists tragic death will be marked. In memorial of our colleagues and with a review over their academic accomplishments, we would like to highlight the importance of their research which served as a good foundation for upgrading scientific and professional knowledge over the past 20 years. A major step forward and expansion of scientific achievements will be visible through the presentation of research results. We also wish to gather scientists and experts from all forestry disciplines to display and exchange new knowledge and experiences. We would thus like to present a capability for new challenges which future will bring.
ORGANIZATION
The Conference is being organized by the Croatian Forest Research Institute and Faculty of Forestry University of Zagreb. Co-organizers are: Academy of Forestry Sciences, Croatian Forestry Society, Croatian Chamber of Forest and Wood Technology Engineers and Croatian forest Ltd.
The Conference will be held on February 9th 2018. in Jastrebarsko – Princess congress center.
Specific themes to be covered include:
- Forest ecology
- Soil science
- Forest genetic resources and tree breeding
- Silviculture
- Ecosystem management
- Climate changes
