We are proud to announce that our colleague Silvija Krajter Ostoić, PhD, is a new Danubius mid-career awardee in 2019. The award is granted by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Education, Institute for Danube region and Central Europe and the Danube Rector Conference. Ceremony took place on 7 November 2019 in Bucharest on the University Politechnica of Bucharest. Dr. Krajter Ostoić has been working at the Croatian Forest Research Institute since 2008. godine. Her research interests include social and political aspects of urban forestry, especially human-nature relationship. She is also an educated EU funds project manager and assistant editor of the Urban Forestry & Urban Greening journal – the number one scientific journal dedicated to urban forestry. She was a head of Department of International Scientific Cooperation in Southeast Europe – EFISEE for five years (2014-2018). Dijana Vuletić, PhD, scientific advisor and previous director of the Institute in two mandates was invited to give a speech about doctor Krajter Ostoić. Congratulations!
